We have partnered with the Toronto Zoo to bring XING (Re)Connecting Landscapes to a new audience. The Toronto Zoo is a living centre for education and science that will expand the reach of landscape connectivity research and solutions to a wide range of people — over 1.3 million visitors annually.
XING complements initiatives within the Adopt a Pond Wetland Conservation Programme like the Ontario Turtle Tally and Urban Turtle Initiative which contribute to a body of knowledge substantiating the need for wildlife crossing implementation protocols in urbanizing regions.
The exhibit was installed and will be displayed permanently in the Americas Pavilion beginning in 2016.
